The ones I put in "bold" are my choices to plant at home garden - only 15 varieties. Items that are crossed out are "give away" to others as I haven't been very happy with these varieties. The rest will have to be planted in community/farm areas as I simply won't have enough space at home. Hopefully this year will be good for them and no blight will demolish them as in the past.
I think you have more varieties listed than most seed houses!
ReplyDeleteSo my question is, where do you put all of these seedlings? You must have some sort of greenhouse/room to support that number of starts you have planned!
Not a greenhouse, but yes I have a dedicated room where I have all my garden starts and that includes my grow-lights set up that my hubby build for me: http://simplegardenmadeeasy.blogspot.com/2011/02/its-seedlings-time.html and the lights are adjustable to heights. I also have another floor unit that fits a good 50 or so seedlings under it.
Deletep.s. Have you visited http://tomatofest.com place for seeds? Over 600+ varieties to choose from :)
DeleteOh yes...their selection is staggering! I ordered several varieties from them last year. The problem for me is lack of garden space - you are incredibly lucky to be able to grow so many different varieties & test them out in the community/ farm garden.
