June 21 Harvest

It's been a very good week in the garden. I've been picking enough veggies to eat every day now - from young potatoes, peas, strawberries, broccoli and greens.
And we had enough strawberries for several batches of strawberry jam - here's a picture of one with lemon mix - slightly tangy and sweet at the same time.
Here are some of the dishes we've enjoyed with our own veggies.

  1. Great strawberries, potatoes, broccoli and peas! I harvested my first shelling peas today. Yummy! Tastes better than the frozen ones you buy! The strawberry/lemon mix recipe sounds interesting! Nancy

    1. groundhog didn't get into the small garden or the back of the large garden, so far he's been doing damage in the front of the large garden.

  3. Lovely harvests! Those meals look mighty tasty too. :D I love it when the garden offers up such a nice variety and in a steady state so that you have fresh fare to use in cooking every day, but are not totally overwhelmed with mega harvests. Good work!
