First peppers, beans and cucumbers!

Mid-week pickings - broccoli, carrots, first cucumbers, two cherry tomatoes, first peppers, swiss chard and scallions - I know I should have left peppers grow longer but I really wanted to use them :)
Peppers = 4.4oz, carrots 3.5oz and 5.1oz of pickler cucumbers.
Broccoli was only 1.6 oz, swiss chard 6.6oz, and scallions at 4.4 oz.
Allot peas were picked this time but it's coming to the end - heat wave did allot of damage to peas.
First beans were also picked but it was just over 1oz. Peas came to 5 lbs 2oz
Can't wait until it really picks up speed - more beans are growing and tomatoes are ripening.

  1. I do pick some of my veggies a little prematurely as well, but I really do think that it does the plant some good, as well as doing you some good because you get to use the veggies sooner!! LOL! Happy Gardening! Mindy

    1. Beans are just starting to come up and I'm waiting for yellow wax beans - my favorite. I also planted Fortex so they'll come in later. Cucumbers are full in bloom so I think I'll have enough for eating and pickling.

  3. Nice harvest! My cuke plants are still small and only just blossoming. My first tomatoes are still green, my pepper is the size of a fingernail, the beans are only a hope-for and my carrots look like sewing needles. Everything you picked looks great!

    1. Thank you! All my regular tomatoes are green and just forming - these were cherry tomatoes in hanging baskets on the arbor that I bought on a whim - they were not planned on.
