Simple garden techniques described in details so anyone can easily follow through on their end while sharing ideas and pictures on how the garden is progressing through out the year.
Heat Wave
First we had rollercoaster in spring between hot-frost-hot-frost, then we were drowning in non stop rain with cooler weather than usual for about 3 weeks. Then last week it was beautiful sunshine and lovely 75 degree weather. Until today. 96 officially but my patio shows 101. And the same if not worse for tomorrow and friday. I guess I might as well pull out all the peas from the perimeter of the garden - all 4 walls are currently covered in them. This heat will kill them. But it should benefit my melons, peppers and eggplants. Can't win them all.

Hi Jenny, Isn't this weather around the country something else! It has been hot here. We did get a little rain Sunday but we have been watering a lot. I'd like to put my order in for 75 degree weather with gentle rain now and then! Nancy
ReplyDeleteNancy - that would be nice to have stable sunshine but not scorching heat and nice gentle rain at night.
Deletesame here - last week was perfect!!! i think i need to move to san diego or something.=)
ReplyDeleteI think Oregon is more of my area. SD tends to get too hot.
