Another Frost???

Looks like we're in for a cold weather with hard frost alert for this weekend. Tonight we're down to "only" balmy 36. Oy. I guess at this point I'll just let Mother nature to decide how my garden will grow - if it dies off from frost so be it. All my blueberries in bloom, second plum in bloom, strawberries, grapes - not sure if I'll have any. At least the newly planted strawberries should be ok as they'll have delayed blooms because of transplant. Good luck to all who's facing frost this weekend as well.

* TIMING... EARLY SATURDAY MORNING
* IMPACTS... FLOWERING FRUIT TREES AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION WILL SUFFER DAMAGE IF NOT PROTECTED.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A FREEZE WATCH MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE. THESE CONDITIONS COULD KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION.

    :) The neighbors are concerned for our garden's well being as well. We've been planting things out since february. Strange in Michigan. The weather was non-existant. Would be interesting if it decided to die now.... lol

    I'm surprised though to see the tomatoes that were decimated when I forgot to remove the cloches after a snow. Then the sun baked them. Today when noticing the stalks, there is new leaf growth!

    Let's hope tonights chilly weather doesn't put the nail in it. ;)

      YAY on returning tomatoes and hope that they'll make it through this weekend. I have several also out so not sure if they'll make it.

    oh no, good luck with your plants!

    I'm getting sick of lugging the seedlings back and forth from the front porch to the back sun porch. I put them in there until Tuesday just in case.

    I'm so sorry. This crazy weather this year is driving me nuts. I have planted one certain type of tomato twice now and they havnt made it. They must really be sensitive to temps. All my other tomatoe plants are fine and thriving.

    Hopefully it won't hurt everything. Keep us posted.

      Lisa - are you having problem with Amish Paste? I heard it's very sensitive and hard to grow. I'll try to find it this year on the marketplace and add to my collection and see how it will produce. I just found German Queen last night so it's waiting to be planted :)

    Us too. I just put tiny asparagus plants out too. I sure hope they live. I know you've got all kinds of stuff out right now. We're hoping for the best for you.
