July 7 Harvest

Many things were picked this week, quite a few used for 4th of July meal and others for regular meals. Some are still to be used like red cabbage. Some like garlic were picked but broke from main stalks so they're not going to be in the same post as the rest (that's for later in a week).

Tomorrow will be Harvest Monday over at Daphne's Dandelions so hope you'll stop by and see how other gardens are doing :)

  1. Very nice variety of vegetables. Dinners must be interesting at your house. That head of garlic is huge, which mine grew that big.

  2. The potatoes look yummy (as does the rest of the harvest too)! You are getting a really nice variety of items in your harvest basket. Makes meals much more interesting when that starts happening.

    1. Thanks, I'm just clearing out my small garden and starting to prepare it for fall plantings so had to remove all those potatoes. And can't wait to get more tomatoes for eating - we have plenty of green ones hanging but they're taking their time in ripening.

    1. Well beans are just starting and peas are on their way out so it's rare week to have them together - I'm just enjoying it!

    1. I love cooking with fresh veggies and my hubby likes their taste so yes, I enjoy it very much, but I don't weight in everything - sometimes we eat things before they make it to the scale :)

    1. Potatoes is the first thing that gets planted in my garden as it's one of the main staples for us together with onions, garlic and greens.
