Tomorrow will be Harvest Monday over at Daphne's Dandelions so hope you'll stop by and see how other gardens are doing :)
Simple garden techniques described in details so anyone can easily follow through on their end while sharing ideas and pictures on how the garden is progressing through out the year.
July 7 Harvest
Many things were picked this week, quite a few used for 4th of July meal and others for regular meals. Some are still to be used like red cabbage. Some like garlic were picked but broke from main stalks so they're not going to be in the same post as the rest (that's for later in a week).

Very nice variety of vegetables. Dinners must be interesting at your house. That head of garlic is huge, which mine grew that big.
ReplyDeleteThanks, garlic has been really good this year.
DeleteThe potatoes look yummy (as does the rest of the harvest too)! You are getting a really nice variety of items in your harvest basket. Makes meals much more interesting when that starts happening.
ReplyDeleteThanks, these are yukon golds and I love them very young and crips in my meals. And variety is always a good thing!
DeleteLooks like you had a really good potato week! Nice to have some tomatoes too! Mine are just going way too slow! Good harvest!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I'm just clearing out my small garden and starting to prepare it for fall plantings so had to remove all those potatoes. And can't wait to get more tomatoes for eating - we have plenty of green ones hanging but they're taking their time in ripening.
DeleteWow another great harvest. We are still waiting for our late planted garden to start producing, we hope to have our first veggies this week!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope your harvest this week will be just as good.
DeleteWow, the pictures just went on and on :) And it all looks great!
ReplyDeletePictures are better than any words :)
DeleteYou are getting such a lovely mix of spring and summer harvests! Green beans and peas at the same time, amazing!
ReplyDeleteWell beans are just starting and peas are on their way out so it's rare week to have them together - I'm just enjoying it!
DeleteJenny, your harvests look wonderful! Nice red cabbage there! Mine never want to form heads. Love your colorful varieties of beans!
ReplyDeleteI wish that cabbage was a bit bigger but it was tasty so I'm happy :)
DeleteSo many different things, I don't know what to look at and drool over first. LOL. Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's not too much of the same variety but it's enough for dinner or two :)
DeleteYou are harvesting so many lovely looking veggies! I bet you are enjoying cooking with such a variety! And you are so diligent about weighing everything! Nancy
ReplyDeleteI love cooking with fresh veggies and my hubby likes their taste so yes, I enjoy it very much, but I don't weight in everything - sometimes we eat things before they make it to the scale :)
DeleteNice varied harvest you have there, I didn't planted any potatoes this year :(
ReplyDeletePotatoes is the first thing that gets planted in my garden as it's one of the main staples for us together with onions, garlic and greens.
