First week of october harvest

This week very slim pickings - some of the last cabbages and beans, some kale and peppers for dinner and whole lot of herbs that will be dried for winter. We're expecting frost this weekend so might as well pick the herbs and dry them now instead of wasting.
These two didn't make into the general picture but they were picked at the same time.

    1. Way to go on beans! I wish I could say the same but it looks like this was my last picking. if we get hit with frost that will kill all my beans.

  2. You are still getting good veggies while they last! What all herbs do you dry? I do thyme and chives and did lovage last year. Next year I will do oregano also. Just brought in more chives today and cut up to dry! Winter is coming! I will do armchair gardening then!!! Nancy

  3. Very nice vegetables even if they are slowing down. It's hard to believe we're going into the cold season already, isn't it?

  4. Your harvest does not look like slim pickings. May be we will get a long Indian summer.

    1. I do hope so, still need more time for broccoli, cauliflowers and cabbages to grow properly.
