Upclose and personal with groundhog.

Maybe one day I'll get my patio containers to keep the produce that grows in them, but definitely not this year - this is one of the 3 babies that were born this spring and added to the groundhog family.
This particular fellow LOVED my parsley, celery, cherry tomatoes (I guess they taste better) and strawberries.

    1. Oh it's ok, i wasn't really counting on harvesting anything from there other than peppers - those are never eaten. I just like the view of the patio with green containers. And no, I'm not going to kill him for eating few greens.

  2. Sorry about the plant loss but on the upside, he is cute and furry! ;-)

  3. I share my front yard with the neighborhood rabbits. I just try and plant things they don't eat. I like them much better when they are only nibbling on the grass!

  4. Well, he is cute. But we have a lot of wildlife too and as a gardener I find I have a real love/hate relationship with them. I enjoy seeing the animals cavorting around the property, just wish they'd stay out of the garden.

    1. Same here, I hate how they destroy my plants but I love that they're alive and furry and cute and I get to watch them every day. Just wish they'd stop eating my edibles and keep to the grass instead.
