This has been very hot week and I've picked more greens, plenty of strawberries to eat for breakfast and snacks, some young garlic, few snow peas for salad.
and one thing I couldn't wait to try and see if they're here yet - baby potatoes! this was one of the fingerling plants that I dug in. They were planted mid-April so will have to wait at least couple more weeks before picking any more of them. They are in bloom now so that's a good sign.
Look at those strawberries! Yum!
ReplyDeleteThey are really yummy! I wish they were larger (like I used to have in CA) but they're very sweet and fragrant.
DeleteYou have a nice little harvest of things. My sugar peas won't be ready for quite awhile. I picked one strawberry today from my old patch! Nice to enjoy what we do harvest! Nancy
ReplyDeleteI hope to try my first sugar peas this weekend but I doubt we'll have many of them. Definitely enjoying harvests!
DeleteOooh, baby potatoes. Our fingerlings are starting to bloom too - it is a good sign!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try first young potatoes!
DeleteBeautiful and varied harvest. If only the critters did not get to my strawberries first.
ReplyDeleteWe have been 'sharing" with squirrels and birds as well.
DeleteFingerling potatoes! A can hardly believe it. We won't be harvesting potatoes for another 2 months still. Your harvest looks beautiful! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteSame here actually, we normally don't pick majority of the potatoes until august, but I love snatching few young potatoes here and there as a treat :)
Deletewow, I am quite jealous of your bounty! It all looks amazing.
