Another small harvest this week, including some kale, swiss chard, cabbages, carrots, beans, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini and even one tiny watermelon. Red and white cabbages had to be drastically peeled back to get rid of damaged top layers - we have a bunny in the garden who apparently loves most of my greens. For the same reason baby carrots were pulled - he ate all their tops. And normally I don't bother recording chard or kale, but this time I did - that's going to my coworker tomorrow.
Beautiful produce! Despite that bunny, you have lots of goodies there.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'll take a picture of one cabbage that has been attacked by bunny so you can see what he does with them :) At this point I'm just leaning up garden beds and planting fall garden. We built a hoop-house over one of the long beds so that I can have extended greens-season.
DeleteNice midweek harvest! Your garden just seems to keep on producing and producing! I think I need to grow some swiss chard again and learn to like and use it! So good for you. Nancy
ReplyDeleteQuite the oposite, garden is wraping up and harvests are getting smaller and smaller. I hope you'll grow some chard as it's very easy to grow and taste good.
DeleteYour "small" harvest looks mighty good sized to me?!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a small harvest comparing to the recent few weeks.
DeleteYou call this small! My garden has hit a harvest gap right now; so I haven't had much of anything to show.
ReplyDeleteMine is coming to a halt right about now. I think one more harvest and it will go on hiatus.
