First harvest of July

So what do you do with veggie overload -- stirfry of course!  Carrots, peas, squash, broccoli, pepper and onions and you get one very tasty meal. Add sliced chicken if you want and meal is complete.
And then you go picking again. More squash - 4.4 oz. Peas - 11oz, Beans - 1lb and 7.8 oz.
Cubanelle pepper - 1.3oz, and just over 2 lbs of pickler cucumbers that will be pickled tomorrow. Beets were at 4.8oz
and then we visited community garden and picked first tomatoe  - San Marzano. Unfortunately alot was lost to groundhog who apparently loves ripe tomatoes and all beans. And also 3 lbs and 13 oz of cucumbers. Will have to pick more on Thursday as alot more growing but that will go to the food pantry - they were closed today.

  1. Stir fry is a staple in our meal line up - such a great way to use the bounty of the garden and do it with a minimum of fuss and prep work. That looks like a yummy combination of harvest in that stir fry.
